COMPANION CARE

What is Companion care?

Companion Care is a component of Home Care which provides emotional and social support. These two key roles have a positive impact for the elderly, such as reducing stress and social isolation which can cause depression.

What does the Companion Care Provide?

  • Socialization and entertainment.

  • Transportation to appointments and other activities.

  • Planning and scheduling appointments and social activities.

  • Running errands such as grocery shopping, and light housekeeping.

What is the difference between a Caregiver & a Companion?

A Companion has less or no training than a Caregiver and is best for people that need “non-medical” help with some or many aspects of daily living.
