Caregiver Job Qualifications

  • Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.

  • Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which may include assisting with exercise and administering medication.

  • Ensuring the client’s home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.

  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.

  • Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.

  • Transporting or escorting the client to medical and other appointments.

  • Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.

Licensed Professionals

Star Bright Home Health is looking for skilled Licensed Professionals who are very compassionate and patient. 

Nice Nurse

Registered Nurse

  • Texas Registered Nurse License and BLS required

  • 1+ years RN experience required

  • Must have reliable car with auto insurance

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing

  • Current, unrestricted State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing

  • Certified in Basic Life Support

  • Additional certifications will be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

  • One or more (1+) years of nursing experience in area of intended practice

  • Ability to travel to patient homes and in-patient facilities as assigned

Nurse and Patient

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

  • TX Licensing Vocational Nurse License and BLS required

  • 1-3 years and 3+ years)

  • Must have reliable car with auto insurance

  • Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing or licensed practical nursing

  • Current State of Texas license/permit or temporary/compact license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

  • Certified in Basic Life Support

  • Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and /or nursing unit requirements

Speech Therapists

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited university-based Speech/Language Pathology program and be awarded a Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology

  • Must hold a current license to practice speech/language pathology by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology for Texas

  • Must have a one (1) year experience

  • Must have reliable car with auto insurance

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns

  • Provides clinical leadership and demonstrative expertise for a particular patient type/group or enhances an existing clinical program for that particular patient type/group

  • Designs and implements original staff development program which facilitates the clinical competencies of other staff member

Physical Therapy

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university-based Physical Therapy program

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or eligibility

  • Current certification in Basic Life Support

  • Must have reliable car with auto insurance

  • The position requires occasional/frequent pushing and lifting 75 - 100 pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting

  • Fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, the ability to receive oral and written communication, and to communicate verbally and in writing are also necessary

  • The visual ability to monitor instruments, computers and equipment, recognize alphanumeric characters, distinguish colors and observe physical characteristics are essential to this position

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

  • High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of a Texas accredited CNA program

  • Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability required

  • Certified in Basic Life Support required

  • Must have reliable car with auto insurance

  • Minimum of one (1) year in CNA role such as in-home care/home health setting or a long-term care facility required

  • At least one (1) year experience as a Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, or long- term care facility

  • Ability to understand written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations; demonstrates skills for assigned specialty area/function or assigned procedures, including a working knowledge of basic medical terminology and computer software skills

  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties and responsibilities

  • Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting

  • Ability to travel to patient homes or inpatient facilities as assigned

Occupational Therapist

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant or an Occupational Therapist program

  • Licenses/Certification: Current License to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners

  • Current Certification in Basic Life Support

  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience

  • The position requires occasional to frequent lifting up to 75-100 pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting
